Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness
Lara Croft is a very well-known persona, and not just from Tomb Raider game but also from a series of movies with her participation. Let’s focus on the game, more precisely – on the worst part of the series. As the parts on the PSX were climatic and good, this is all the opposite.
First of all, the game is full of bus and errors, at every step you can come across some distortions. Here you’re stuck against the wall, and here you cannot go through the alley. Technical archaisms are definitely one of the biggest drawbacks of this production. The control is also annoying – not friendly, from the time of a PSX era. End of defects? No way. Fighting is some kind of mockery – rarely can you see such a clumsy fighting. Additionally, IQ of our opponents is so low that we are starting to worry if they are suffering from some mental illness.
There are also some pluses. Lara herself is moving fine (a lot of polygons in it were packed), in addition, the game does not develop in one evening. A little worse players run it in 40 hours! Well, this is the good old Lara …
